Lolipop Skirt

The origin of the name for this skirt is a great example of my usual train of thought. It went something like this:
The fabric is seersucker. Seer. Sucker. Seer Skirt. Seer Sucker Skirt. Sucker Skirt!

Sucker Skirt!

Wait, that sounds weird.

Sucker. Candy. Lolipop.

LOLIPOP SKIRT!!!

Yeah, it's kinda like that...

This was made from about 1/2 yard of classic blue seer sucker. I made it up, so I can't give you a pattern. It would be super easy to recreate, though. It's just a gathered rectangle sewn into a waistband with a contrast band at the bottom. Plain ol'zipper in the back.

I made this last summer, and it was perfect for frolicking about Rome during our Italian vacay last August. (I know, I mentioned Rome in this post as well. Not the same trip. Sono stato lì tre volte!)
