Toile Skirt

According to dictionary.com, "toile" means "linen."

I'd like to disagree. In my mind, "toile" means "fabric printed with lovely scenes of gentlefolk and perhaps animals, most often in a country setting, making one feel immersed in a world similar to that of a Jane Austen novel."

Curtsy...

I made this skirt approximately a billion years ago (and, by a billion, I mean 10) and it has been a favorite ever since. It's just a simple half-circle skirt.

It's lined with muslin and it drapes ever-so-nicely.

"Why, Mr. Smithsontonshire, you don't say?" (my attempt at 19-century banter)

Also nice for standing on park walls...
