Hello, friends! Sorry for taking a few days to post something new. I was a little busy over the weekend.

We went to visit a dear friend in Palm Beach, FL, and I was so tied up with laying by the ocean, and taking naps, and eating really good food, and being silly with banyan trees that I just couldn't find a spare minute to post.

But, here I am, back to reality, and super excited to share this next project! I actually finished these over a week ago, but didn't want to ruin the surprise as these were a baby shower gift. So, here you go: Rainbow Sockies!
I used
this pattern, which I found very easy to follow and fun to make! I learned to do short row shaping, which looks super complicated but is actually very easy, and makes me excited to do more things like this.

The yarn and needles were both thinner than I've used before, but I really liked the detailed work.

| Paton's sock yarn |
 |
| Size 2 needles...I wrapped a hairband around the end to keep the yarn from slipping off! |
I started the second bootie at a sort of opposite place in the colorway, so they would look totally different on purpose but still match. The tie is just made of three strands of yarn braided together and knotted at the ends.
And they're so freakin' cute! Just like
these. It seems I have a thing for cute little footwear. Who doesn't?
I shared this on www.sewwoodsy.com
We were so impressed with these booties when we saw them! Especially that the bow wasn't just decorative.
ReplyDeleteYay! By the way, you are officially the Comment Queen. I love it!
